Day 22

I’ve been trying to travel all day, but got stuck at the Toronto airport. Did that stop me from WFing – nope! I did four rounds of breathing on the plane, and discovered it was an entirely different experience. Not sure if it was sitting, or the altitude (??), or not having an empty stomach, but it was hard, and my times were short.

Rounds: :53; 1:11; 1:17; 1:21

Nonetheless, the practice has definitely made me lean into challenges with positivity. I had to wait on hold on the phone at length four times today, request flight changes, hotel booking refunds and credit card company credits for flight delays – and I did them all with a smile on my face, laughing, joking, and expecting the best to happen. And it did for all of those situations…I haven’t managed to change the weather and realign all the flight schedules, but I’m just getting started right?!

Day 21

I didn’t plan on more than 24hrs of travel, but that’s Canadian winter sometimes…I did the breathing practice in the airport this AM, trying to be subtle – I didn’t lay on the ground like I usually do either. What a difference, it was still so hard! It doesn’t help that I’ve had so little sleep, and poor quality over the past three days.

Rounds: :49; 1:01; 1:05; 1:13 (ha, so low!!)

I was so energized by the practice nonetheless, it made it worthwhile for sure. I’ve stayed positive without forcing it, and my body is not as tired from tension as I think it would have been. Also, I did not allow any catastrophic thinking…Hope I can always do that, what an easier way of living life!
